For The Responsible Adult

Woody has been on tours with 30+ people as a parent, planned tours for 80+ people and organised W7s, which is one giant combined tour for 1100+ people. So he has been asked almost every question about touring and knows the nerves that the adults can often have.

With this in mind, he has created this section to try and settle those nerves in advance.

All On One Site

We pride ourselves on providing almost everything that you need on one site.

The map to the right is one used in previous years, which we hope helps you visualise the site.

Questions often asked by the adults

Can we park near our tent?
I'm afraid we do not allow this as part of our safety and risk assessment. However, although we may be near the hallowed ground of Download Festival, you won't have to walk half as far. The site is approximately 400m from one side to another. So bring an event trolley or get the team to work together to share the task.

Will there be proper coffee available in the morning?
Yes. Instant coffee is available at several of the vendors but we have an amazing company who can provide you with a proper coffee in the morning.

Is there electricity points on the camp site?
There is not. The camping area is a non-electric site and we do not allow generators etc. For this reason we encourage everyone to bring a torch and powerbank.

Are there decent showers and loos or is it just portaloos?
Don't worry as we have this covered. There are two shower and toilet blocks and we hire in two luxury shower units, each consisting of six shower areas. The bar area, near the pitches also has toilets, these will be open from morning to closing time.

What is the food like?
We have some fantastic food vendors who join us, from Asian Street Food to a Gluten Free specialist and lots in between.

Speak to your tour leader who, from around February, will be able to share with you a link to a secret part of our website. There you will find EVERY vendor, their menus and prices.

Is there much to do, other than the rugby?
Loads.

You can ask your tour leader to grab your children an inflatable wristband, which gives them unlimited access to the inflatable zone.

You will have opportunities to have Q&As with our special guests - we have had PWR players, Internationals and even World Cup Winners join us.
The evenings are packed with tribute acts, music bingo (a far more interactive version of bingo where we insist you sing and dance along to the songs), DJ's and live bands.

Speak to your tour leader who, from around February, will be able to share with you a link to a secret part of our website. There you will find the itinerary for all of the activities mentioned above.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

You are more than welcome to bring soft drinks and food that does not need to be cooked, you are not allowed to bring stoves etc on site. You are also not allowed to bring your own alcohol either, please see our terms and conditions regarding prohibited items.

What time does the clubhouse open?
We open the clubhouse at 18:30, even though it is a large clubhouse it pays to grab your seats quickly.

What on earth should I bring?
Everyone's needs are different but hopefully our packing list example will help.

Please note that this is merely a collection of suggestions made by those who have been before and a personalised packing list should be created by yourself.
